Also at the Holland event where Pete announced his candidacy for Governor, I learned a rumor of a protest forming in Grand Haven. Will update when I hear more.

Pleas For Help

Need volunteers for the Adopt a Precinct Program.

For now will consist of making phone calls to people in Calhoun or Jackson Counties on behalf of Mike Nofs running for the 19th District State Senate seat. We will be trying to locate Republican voters. Warning the minutes you spend will be on you. No reimbursement.

Later we will be asking for volunteers to actually drive there to knock on doors etc. car pool or bus? You tell us. I believe this will be a one time thing.

The Muskegon County Republicans will be having a pot luck celebration of their 102 years as a County Party. It will be called the Summer Grand Old Potluck. It will be at Pamona Park in Fruitport.Link to Pamona Park

The plan as I understand it is to have an old fashioned picnic with the County Party providing the meat and soft drinks and everyone just bring a dish to pass. If interested in helping; get hold of Susie Hughes or David or give me a call, at 231-728-3455.This will be what we make it. Let's get to talking it up, families are welcome. This could be a warm friendly family thing. PDs, lets make this a thing to remember. Again keep checking back; I'll add updates as I find them.

Monthly Muskegon County Republican Executive Committee Meeting. We are back to our Party HeadQuarters in the West Village Plazza just north of the corner at Sherman and Henry. Nice to get back home and free coffee. 5:30 pm.

How It Works

This blog is NOT directly tied to the Muskegon County Republican Party. It is a private blog set up as a place where Precinct Delegates and volunteers of the Conservative stripe can gather. A place where the duties of PDs and volunteers are explained and ideas are sought to expand the grassroots of the Republican Party in a less formal and more unfettered way. I hope we can cooperate with the Party as we share the same purpose. TO HELP ELECT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES THAT STAND FOR SOMETHING. REPUBLICANS THAT OFFER "A CHOICE NOT AN ECHO TO LIBERALS". That takes teamwork.

I hope this will be a reader (member) driven blog site. As you find things you think should be on here let me know. If it furthers our purpose, good enough.

Anything like township blogs or political happenings within your township or precint, through which you feel we can showcase our message and be of service to the neighborhood, please email or call me and we can put it up and keep this blog alive. Or you can comment on the posting to the left at the end of my blogs.

Any time you want to meet and discuss this site, on the phone or in person as to what we should do with it or improve it, let me know. Blogs are pretty simple but also pretty limited.

LIVE DANGEROUSLY -- STORE

I just recieved a lot of maps of Metro Muskegon north to River Rd. East to Wolf Lake Rd. South to Taft. Maps include inserts for Montague, Whitehall and Ravenna.

This is the detailed street map you're used to. A large fold out map we used to buy in gas stations. No backing is included but I put it on an old large Political sign cut to size and it makes a perfect hanging wall map in which to put in pins. I use it for Precinct Delegate stuff and in the past to help me plot out door to door. Plus I use it to find stuff without turning on my computer. Makes a nice Display also.

The Street Index was on the back however. I have made copies of that and sell it seperately.

Statement of Purpose

This blog is here to give people who are interested in joining the County Republican Party of Muskegon Mi. a chance to do that, in order to make a difference in the outcome of the next election.

Current Party Members and Precinct Delegates please feel free to help us do that, if your Precinct is secure and the PD allotment is full, recruit more volunteers start training them to run in the Primary Aug. 2010 as a PD in their neighborhood. Then find them good works to do. We need to come alive, we need all the help and enthusiam we can get.

This blog will explain in no-nonsense terms:

1-A method to organize our neighborhoods (Precincts), to gather (recruit) volunteers (workers), then to gather (recruit) more and organize community service projects for them to do. Call your self a Republican Club have meetings anything. 2 or more people is a group, set a goal. Accomplish it. Become a real group.

2-Here you will learn how to enter and have legal standing in the Muskegon County Republican Party by running for a Precinct Delegate post in the 2010 Republican Primary.

3-You will learn how to learn your job as a PD, or PD "Designate/Volunteer,; to be in a position come mid 2010 to hit the ground running and run the Dems into it.

4-This blog is to share the information I can get from the party and through any efforts you and I can create (invent) to get the job done. The job is to change the 2008 election results. We can only do that on a one to one basis, facilitated by organizing volunteers on up to Precinct Delegates and Precinct Captains, at the township and local precinct level.

5-This effort will only work with volunteers. I'm looking for anyone that is interested in working to regain Muskegon County from the grasp of the Democrats.

To do this we will need people willing to join this site. I will need help in making it interactive. Maybe set up a forum and moderate it. Perhaps form networks with other blogs.

We need a place where volunteers can meet on line or set up on line real person meetings to further evolve this effort to Take Muskegon Back. Get themselves enthused and then their friends and family. Then the neighborhood.

This site I hope will offer tools to help us get involved in and knowledgable about our Township, Village or City governments and the politicians we elect. With that knowledge we can offer alternatives to the status quo.

We can offer "A Choice, Not an Echo". We need to lead by example. By getting out and practicing what we preach, we will earn respect for our ideas, we will also re-gain integrity for our party .

Some talking is necessary and proper, in the beginning as we find our way. God knows I do my share. But we need to focus on doing things. GOP people raisers should be just as important as Fund raisers. Service to the community should be shared by all.
